HH Hunters is seeking a Senior Aerosol Specialist to join one of our leading clients in the formulation and manufacturing of personal care and hygiene products.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of cutting-edge cosmetic products in aerosol formats (e.g., haircare, skincare, personal care).
Manage the complete product lifecycle: from concept ideation and formulation to industrialization and successful launch.
Design and meticulously optimize formulations, guaranteeing superior performance, long-term stability, and captivating sensory profiles.
Ensure comprehensive compliance with all applicable cosmetic regulations, including the EU Cosmetics Regulation, REACH, and CLP.
Conduct and supervise rigorous stability, compatibility, and safety testing protocols.
Collaborate closely with market research and consumer insights teams to align product development with current trends and demands.
Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance departments.
Stay abreast of emerging aerosol technologies, raw materials, and industry best practices.
Mentor junior members of the R&D team, sharing knowledge and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Contribute to strategic R&D planning and pipeline development.
What You Bring:
A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in cosmetic formulation, with a strong emphasis on aerosol products and technologies.
Proven track record in product development, from concept to launch.
Deep understanding of cosmetic regulations within the European Union (EU Cosmetics Regulation, REACH, CLP) and global safety requirements for cosmetic products.
Thorough knowledge of aerosol technologies, propellants, valve systems, and packaging.
Expertise in sensory analysis and its application in product development.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a passion for innovation in the personal care industry.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with specific product categories (e.g., antiperspirants, deodorants, dry shampoos, mousses).
Familiarity with international cosmetic regulations beyond the EU.
Experience with statistical analysis and Design of Experiments (DoE).
Knowledge of sustainability initiatives in cosmetic product development.
Fluent English (C1 level preferred).
